S1 alternatives

S1 tools don't support my player

Does anyone know programs for extracting/modifying/updating firmware except S1 tools?
Perhaps, MP3 Player Utilities? But it's convert tool.

malamut...u need to know wat type of model and brand of ur mp4 first...but if ur mp4 doesn't support s1 tool..it will maybe rockchip player or sumting else...

You could just HEX edit the firmware, if you can extract it safely.
