Is this normal? IS there anything i can do??

I've already cheanged the "black" option on the settings menu to 3 seconds, so what else could i do?

sunnydalerocks , 4hours playback is considered a reasonable time. Usually these players last for about 3-5hours on the average.

I'm lucky to get 6 hours out of mine. I was sure to discharge and recharge the battery FULLY about 2 or 3 times before really using the unit. Try that?

You're lucky. I get 3.5 hours on average. :P
