Light Problem

I just recieved my MP4/MP3 player and everything has went great but I have one problem. When my player has been on the charger for awhile, the light from the screen goes out and doesn't come back on unless I turn the power off from the top of the player. The player still works fine because when I use the play button to turn off, I can still see the menus when I turn it back on but it's dark. Any solutions?

okkk , some questions to ask:

1. Which charger are you using? The AC adaptor or USB charger?

2. After the screen goes out, do you mean you need to manually switch off/on the top switch before the screen turns back on?

3. When you turn the player off using the Play button and then turn it back on, the screen can be seen but is dark and not lighted?

1. I use both chargers but I use the AC adaptor the most.
2. Yes. The screen still works but there's no light.
3. Yes

Re: Light Problem

I think it might be the firmware, but i am not sure. Also try to change the "Grey mode" to a higher value in the display settings.

My player doesn't have a display settings but my firmware version is 9.1.51.

All right. There's not much I can do to help you except saying that you should try to report this behavior to the seller. If he doesn't want to help you you *could* try to change the firmware BUT I really do not advice you to try. The vast majority of people who tried that didn't find a compatible firmware and now their players are dead. So my best advice is to get a refund or something.

okkk , from your symptoms, very likely it would be some hardware/firmware problem of the player as alex2pb mentioned. Do contact your seller for an exchange or refund.
