wintermute1001 , what is the Hynix serial number printed on it? If i'm not wrong, it should be a 1Gigabit (128MegaByte) chip, as 1MB = 8bits.
Also, your player is an Actions based chipset player. Rockchip players can't be detected by MP3 Utilities as it is made specifically for Actions chipsets. |
Re: 1GB chip but mp3 utilities only sees 128MB
I bought a MP4 Player, model I-Nickel, with 2GB memory from Uxcell.
After I putted some musics on player, it became having problems. Then, I did a Format using MP3 Utilities Disk and it show that my player had only 108MB. So, I opened my Player and at the Samsung chip had a sticker indicating 2GB!. I discredited and removed the sticker. Then, I put the code was marked on chip and putted on Memory Density program! Surprise! Program show the chip have 2GB! So, what I do? Is Samsung from memory hacking mafia too? |
The serial number on that chip is most probably faked. But UXcell are reputable sellers, so you should ask for a replacement, i think they will honor it. ;)
