I purchased my glacier from Uxcell several months ago when I found out about the 2gb version. For the most part I've been happy with it. Especially as a portable flash drive etc etc.
Well last week, I was able to xfer my music files to it. Just stuff for a school project. Now over the weekend, I tried to connect it to my home pc to xfer the files to work on them for this weeks class. The glacier will show 'CONNECT' and the pc on the left side and the pic of a memory card device on the right side of the screen. However, its showing zzzzz coming from both sides.
I've tried it on 3 seperate pcs, and all the same thing. In Off mode, the glacier will USB power. In ON mode, does the same thing, however will not charge via the USB cable anymore. and of course none of the pcs detect it. Either as a USB device or unknown device. Just as if its not there.
Already followed the glacier repair guide, including shorting the transitor to try to bring it back up in correct mode, and still no luck.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't immidiately suspect the cable at the moment since it really doesn't have pins that can be bent, but I'm up for any suggestions at the moment.
