Thanks for sharing this with us all. It's really help. lontu and sableroku, Can you upload the firmware to our site here please? >> http://www.mympxplayer.org/uploads-by-members-dc20.html << This will be a good backup in case RapidShare delete's it or limits it from being downloaded. Our site will be available for everyone to download for free. |
Thank you sableroku for sharing this.
I want to make this a sticky as the information you have here is VERY USEFUL and it seems a few people have got their player working because of your help - so thanks for sharing this information. I do have a very quick question for you though. The images in your first post shows TWO players. Can you tell me which player your instructions are for and what the difference is between the two players? Why have the two players in the pictures? I just want to understand this more. |
I uploaded it in Uploads by Members but i can't see it... Any ideas in what went wrong?

the first player is an 2.4" TFT, camera, Screen whit SD/MMC Slot whit the chip ANYKA AK32221M, 2 earjack. The other one have the same features but have little diferences between they (battery duration, 1 earjack). well, for example the "BIOS" which is nothing more than a "boot menu" is a little diferent in options, if you sees, one says UP and the other says "Rewind". well in fact the button configuration is the principal point in diference eac other. Well i posted the two images cause the thread is very large and some people may think "My player didnīt looks like these, i donīt need to read" for that i posted two images "invitating" to the users to read all the post and "scann it" This information is very related whit all the players whit ANYKA integrated chip. every one who have a ANYKA player should read the thread. well i hope be explained myself. good luck. |
Thanks sableroku,
You really saved my ipod from dust bin. Every thing worked very smooth, the only problem I still have though is the Chinese Language. How I can change the language from Chinese to English? Admin, please help on this matter if you can. Thanks again. |

Re: MP4 Players ANYKA chip **RE-UPDATED **
Hey nice work!
I was looking for an update as I had one of these players and the software was locking up the version was Software:V0.3.11 Then I managed to turn my PMP into a USB Drive by finding the "magic buttons" and then formatting.....I thought I was clever until trying to boot the player again.... So i am glad to see Sableroku saved the program file and uploaded. I was hastling my supplier in China for the program file but they were not wanting to give it away. I told them I knew how to press the keys and could ask some one to do this and copy the progam but they still did not want to send it. Anyway Thanks!! Also the 1 thing I did manage to get from China was the circuit diagram if anyone is interested in it. I am thinking I will try and add an external AV In to my player. Drop me a message and I can email it if anyone wants it. Oh the version is now Software:v0.6.9 so if anyone gets a newer version can they post it please?? Happy Travels! |

Re: MP4 Players ANYKA chip **RE-UPDATED **
Hi mohyom!, i think you PMP no is ROCKCHIP, is a SPCA536 (Sunplus), as my... we are wait for a tool fofr us chip... :o(
|
mohyom , all the 3 players you listed are likely to be Sunplus chipsets. Which at the moment are no tools available to fix them.
i'll suggest that you contact your seller for an exchange if they are still under warranty. |
Re: MP4 Players ANYKA chip **RE-UPDATED **
Hi, I just bought the same ipod clone as some of you did, 3 weeks ago while i was in China -Shenzhen - was my first time there. I was happy and surprised to find this week that there was a forum on this! Anyway, this ipod clone has a camera that works occasionally but sometimes has initialisation error. Not only that, the pictures I took using the camera is not visible in the folder when connected to the PC under winxp though it is visible on the ipod clone itself. Another thing is the flash does not work too. anybody experiences these problems and does the firmware by sableroku/lontu corrects this?
oh yes, I also bought another player similar to mohyom's(1st pic with many buttons). Was quite disappointed in it - got lots of bugs! When playing from one mp3 song to another, there's a loud pop and it cannot output to TV though it comes with a S-video cable. I do hope sunplus comes up with some firmware update. If I knew of this forum earlier, I wouldn't have gotten it! |
blurnewbie , firmware "upgrading" is never recommended. Most cases, users would end up flashing a wrong firmware and brick their players instead.
There really isin't any after-sales support or firmware updates from these manufacturers. So you'll be pretty much end up with what you are currently having for some time. I have a player (similar to mohyom's 2nd player) with the AV out socket, and I can't get the video to work too, could only get the sound to play on the TV, but no images. However, it really isin't much of an issue as the video quality would not be that good anyway, would be heavily pixelated i reckon. The AV out option on my other ipod video 30GB produces a less than average video quality on the TV. |
Re: MP4 Players ANYKA chip **RE-UPDATED **
Yes I have to agree with you after having read so many cases of dead players! Think I will just have to accept the player as it is for the time being but humans being humans, sometimes it's hard to resist trying to improve what one has

This player really have 4gb or its hacked? How can i know if the memory is real or hacked? What happen to player to get the "insert usb line to use usbdisk" message? Thanks the help!! |
petrybr , the only way to know if a player is hacked or not is by formatting or by verifying the memory chip's serial number.
