[solved] 8gb player turns 108mb
 

I recently bold a mp4 player by junglefoodstore (got refunded since) and did the format thing. Now my supposed 8gb player is 108 mb !
I opened it and memory chip says Hynix HY27UF081G2M which is supposed to be a 1gb Nand flash. Probably a fake memory too.
Did some of you had 108 mb player too ?
Is it possible to change the flash memory by a bigger one (ie 2, 4gb) ?

Hi iscrites, I have never heard of a player with such a low real memory, not even from junglefoodscam. Have you tried to reformat again? You could have been really unlucky and got one with a duff memory chip as well. How long ago did you buy it? Have you tried to get a refund?

I bought it a month ago or so. Just afterthat Junglefoodstore did cancel his ebay membership.

I format it with mp3 Player utilities and it shows only 108 with just 1 drive.

I did get refund by paypal so nothing's bad but a 108mb player is really useless.

Your player might make a great present for a younger child. Most kids 10 and under would be content with that amount of memory.

iscrites , the Hynix HY27UF081G2M is a 1Gigabit (128MegaByte) memory chip. The format went perfectly normal, and the memory wasn't fake.

Luckily you got your money back.
