I'm now translating the chinese document. Want to add some explanation notes on the graph, since most the the users here don't read chinese and some of you can even see so many ???'s.

since im not really an expert of Microsoft Word and need some time to figure out the arrows and rectangles. I'll upload it right after i've finished it

That's great yenahs!

Thanks for helping us translate this.

It's going to be very helpful that's for sure.

gemelo71, in the file, there is a .bmp image with some translation for you as well to help you understand which buttons mean what.

You're welcome
I've taken so much from this community and really want to see if I can do something to help.

Here's the English translation. Please feel free to use it for reference!
Added to the [ MP3FWTools ] download on this site.

Awesome translation!

If it is ok with you, can I add it to the original upload of MP3FwTools please?

I do have a question, in your instructions, Figure 2 has a screenshot for the logo editing interface, however, the button three buttons hasn't been translated so I'm not sure what the buttons do. Can you translate those buttons as well please? I've made some slight changes to your instructions but merging what you have with what alex2pb already had in his screenshot.

Admin, certainly it's my honor to have an upload for this site
and also it's ok to add anything to it

I've just translated the 3 buttons and I also made some changes on the disclaimer on the top (I can't believe I wrote something like "I will be the one to bear the responsibility if something bad happens"!)

Here's the updated version added to the [ MP3FWTools ] download on this site.

Hmm... But what can you do if you don't have a full dump of your firmware?

I just found another interesting program:

http://www.goldjoin.cn/Download_file.asp?id=6

It looks like a firmware extractor or editor... yenahs, could you translate it please?

Yes, it may be a firmware extractor for Actions chipsets. Just check out www.easydigi.net !!! Now to see if it works... :P

I got the main picture of how the interface works, it recognized my device but said "out of memory" when i tried to dump my firmware. I got sort of freaked out when i saw the "F/W Upgrade" message on my MP4 player, when i disconnected it from my computer it rebooted, clearing all my settings and saved radio stations, but luckily the firmware and flash memory were unharmed.

It seems as though this really is a firmware extractor and editor that supports 9.x.xx firmwares, i can't wait for the translation of this!

Oh.. I just noticed it was already in the Download section, and, apparently, it only works with 9.0.xx series firmwares...

Sure I'll translate it later on but since there's no documentation and the program is in simplified chinese (i'm using traditional chinese), my computer has some problems reading some of the characters too. but don't worry i know microsoft has another program to bring it back to normal.

p.s. the pack includes a link to the site which provides the download and i just found that it seems to have several mp3/mp4 tools including amv converter... if I find them useful I'll translater them also
