Headphones
well i bought an mp4
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y28...e/DSC00032.jpg but none of my headphones seem to fit it all the ones i have seem to be the regular size ones while this 1 seems to be smaller so i'm wondering if there are actually headphones for this also i'm trying to put a movie onto it i converted it to a AMV but some of the picture was cut off what can i do to get full screen? |
You probably have a player with a 2.5 mm headphone jack, common with these players. You can buy an 3.5 to 2.5 adapter on eBay or check a local audio store, they probably have them too.
There are some headphones on eBay with the 2.5 mm native adapter, but I haven't used them so I can't vouch for their performance. Enjoy! |
Re: Headphones
ty i thought there was only 2 sizes the really old big one and the modern one, also any tips on the video problem tis 8 gigs i wanna put some movies on it :P
|
You might have to play around with the video size settings in the AMV conversion utility. Check under settings. I tried it out using an old Windows box and it seems to work, but I'm not sure which setting you could use for your player.
I don't use the video aspect of my player because I'm running Linux, and the conversion tool doesn't work under Linux. Good luck! |
What size is the screen? 1.5 inch screen picture setting should be 128x128. 1.8 inch screen setting should be 160x120 or 176x144 I forgot which one.
Also, I saw where you mentioned it is 8gb. There is a definite possibility that your player is hacked. You need to format using the MP3 Format tool and check out the thread How to Remove a Memory Hack. The memory hack tricks the computer into seeing fake memory and when you load it, it will write ghost files to the Chipod making it look like it is putting your movies on. Then when you try to play movies on it, you will get format errors. If your player is hacked, contact the seller immediately and if you paid thru Paypal, open a dispute against the seller. |
Also, regarding the picture, try downloading Virtual Dub. Tadad has a great tutorial and the download link can also be found here: http://www.mympxplayer.org/using-vir...ons-vt805.html
It really helps with the picture and if your chipod is like mine, the movies play at a lower volume than the music. You can increase the volume using Virtual Dub. |
aww that sucks i bought one for 35 quid thinking it was 8 gig woo did the whole reformat thing its only 1gb :(
|
Sorry to hear that. Did you get it off of eBay? If so, I would open a dispute with Paypal immediately.
|
i'm gonna try giving it back but if i can't i may as well keep it wat if the screen is 1.2inches height and length what size do i have to make it then?
|
If they want you to ship it back at your cost, I wouldn't do it. You probably won't see your money or another player again. I kept mine and settled for a partial refund.
Measure the screen diagonally. :) |
bought it at a car boot sale hes usually there gonna try giving it back also its 4inches diagonally
|
its 4 mm diagonally so what size should i convert it to
|
We need the diagonal size of the screen, not the one of the player. :P
|
yeh i just realised it was the mm part of the ruler :P

Quickly - if you have a 2.5mm headphone jack, you'll find that earphones with 2.5mm native jack are not the best quality available. Much better off going with an adapter, and using either real iPod earphones, or whatever else you prefer. May I suggest dealextreme.com for the adapters... good quality, and usually only about $2US with free shipping. They ship using regular mail, so expect a 2 week delivery time.
