How do I download a theme to my mp4 watch?

I have an mp4 watch that i bought off of ebay and i want to download a theme to it. Its 160 x 128. When I download the theme its supposed to be a .rar file but it isnt. It is a force-application file. Could someone help? I downloaded the file off of http://www.mympxplayer.org/18-horizo...ack-df423.html

but it isnt working. Help please.

Himanshu , which browser are you using? I'm currently using Mozilla Firefox, and i'm able to download the file properly.

Try renaming the file that you have downloaded to add in the .rar extension, as the files don't seem to contain any extensions.

Please post if you are successful at doing this. I just bought a similar (if not identical) watch on eBay. Does your watch play amv files? The MTV files and NXV files are bloody huge.

I have no problem downloading the file. The problem is that its not a .rar file. When I rename it it doesnt do anything. So I open it in notepad and rename it to "1.8.rar" so that it becomes a rar file. When I open it it says the file is damaged or corrupt. I dont know what to do.

And I dont know if my watch plays amv files.

NEVERMIND I GOT IT TO WORK!!!

I redownloaded the file.
I right-clicked it and opened up properties
In the popup i renamed it to 1.8.rar
I changed the program it opens up with to Winrar

And it worked!

Now I'm just wondering if my watch will go away if I install the theme.

When I open s1res, and i try to open a bitmap file, it says a program with incorrect format is trying to open.

How do i fully install a theme? Im new at this.

Himanshu , what is your current firmware version in your watch player?

Himanshu 17th Aug 2007 5:23 pm

I have no idea. How do I find out?

lattesurf 17th Aug 2007 5:52 pm

Himanshu , go to the System or Settings menu, then in the sub-menu, look for this Firmware Version option. This should be able to tell you the current installed firmware.

firmware is 03.10.00

lattesurf 17th Aug 2007 11:50 pm

Himanshu , i do not think that your player uses an Actions chipset from the version number you have found. If so, then the MP3 Utilities would not be able to detect your player, extract the firmware, and re-flash the new firmware.
