Default s1clone 1gb file!!!


hi.when i tried to extract the firmware of an mp4 with s1clone i finally had a file of 1gb!!!!

but when i tried to upgrade themp4 with this huge file with s1clone a message said that it was not possible because not the same /compatible with the mp4(or something like that).


can anyone help!!!

s1clone dumps the ENTIRE contents of the NAND flash, so your dump will be as big as the size of the flash chip in the player.

Make sure you have the newest version of s1clone, which compresses the file smaller (do s1clone after deleting all the files on the player to get a smaller dump)

thanasisgr , S1clone has not been fully tested yet, and only a handful of users reported success, whilst others does not.

Is your player working properly? If it is, i'll suggest not doing anything to the firmware, as any wrong updates and your player would be bricked.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
