Default "Demo mode"?

Hi there,

I have this Nano clone (http://www.mympxplayer.org/chipod-2-asp391.html). I checked when I received it, it is a legitimate 2 Gbs. Firmware is 9.0.50.

I converted an AVI video to AMV format and placed it on the player. It shows up on the player just fine, but when I try to play it, only the first ten seconds of the video will play, then it stops.

I’ve heard of something called a “demo mode,” but I cannot find anything about it in my player’s manual and couldn’t find anything on this forum after doing a search either.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get it to play the entire video?

Thanks!

Use VirtualDub to pre-process your video first.

Here: http://www.mympxplayer.org/howto-the...mv-vt6858.html

There is no intro/demo mode for AMV videos as far as i know.

Buzzygirl, While in AMV player press Menu\Repeat and set to normal.

I tried that early on, but it still does not play more than 10 seconds of a video. Will keep checking.

There isn't any intro mode in the AMV player... :P

So far as I can tell, there are no settings on the player itself that I can tweak... now I'm playing around with the AMV converter program to see if I can get a resolution which works with my player. Seems the resolution at which I converted the videos was probably too high for my particular player, so I'll try something simpler.

I mostly use the Nano clone for listening to podcasts anyway, so if all else fails and I cannot make the videos play, I don't really care, since I have a Rock Chip-based player on order from MP4 Nation.

Problem solved. I was using a newer version of MP3 Player Utilities (4.something). I got rid of that version and instead installed version 3.68. Now the whole movie will play!
