Default MP4 Background Noise

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this site and have been browsing this site for a while and have found really helpful threads. I've bought a 4gb MP4 1.5" player about two months ago. Its works okay, but the only problem that I have with it is the background noise. This noise gets picked up by the player. Such as, whenever I switch from my menu it makes a tick sound, and whenever I play something it makes the sound, but its really annoying because it keeps on continuously making the noise when I play music. Is there a way to get rid of this? Please let me know if there is a way to get rid of this annoying noise.

Thank you.

Darklink , the noises are likely due to the hardware components itself. These could be problems like poor circuit design, or some damaged components.
If it is still under warranty, i'll suggest that you contact your seller for an exchange.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

T39 doesn''t sound as good as my T29

That sucks. I thought there might be an updated firmware that I can use. I have currently 9.0.5. I guess I'll check the warranty. Thanks.

NEVER UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE!!!

The background noise can be fixed. Just set your screen backlight to shut off after a certain time (Setup -> LCD set -> DarkMode), that'll help save some battery life as well.

90% of the noise will be gone this way, the ones when you use the menu will still be there though.

You can also try "Operation Deep Freeze" as it successfully worked for me, just look for the topic "How to improve your Chipod quality for free" in this forum. 8)

It's the hardware. These players aren't exactly designed with quality in mind.
