MP4 Cant use Subfolders
 

Hey i just brought this mp4

(I think its a rockchip?) But it doesnt support subfolders. I have to put all my songs in the AUDIO folder or it doesnt see them. It doesnt see the subfolders either. Kind of dissapointed because my old mp4 could. Probably have to upgrade firmware? :roll:

MiSTiFCHRiS , never ever upgrade firmware, you'll stand a very high chance 99% of bricking your player instead. I'm not very sure of the processor used in this player, but seems similar to the Cyclone PMP in uxcell.

i'll suggest that you leave your player as it is, if it is working as it should be. The folder thing probably is part of the limitation of the firmware.

I opened it up and it has a sunplus spmp3050A. Thats the only chip on the top but I didnt bother unscrewing the board to look at the underside
