latte, Thanks!!

Lolita, do you know what's wrong with the screen?

Ghost, I think you might be right, but i'm honestly not sure how to take apart the 2nd gens... the case is solid all the way around and it doesn't slide out.

FourJacks , for the 2nd gen clones, you'll need to lift the white cover/sticker covering the on/off switch at the top, and probably at the bottom too.

Hidden below it would be screw(s), once removed the casing should be able to be slided open. You'll probably need to depress the buttons to ensure it does not damage the circuit board whilst removing.

It has two screws on the bottom, I've removed them, but the buttons really prevent it from sliding out.

Are the buttons suppose to slide under the case? Or are they just covers?

FourJacks , some of the player assemblies requires the buttons to be rotated and depressed. Whilst others just needs it to be depressed.

The buttons are usually covers, but because of the whol design, the buttons needs to be slided out together with the board. Else it would just damage the button switches below it.

Re: Screen just goes white.

No, the buttons are usually freestanding and just between the case and the PCB. Face the buttons down and push the inner assembly out towards the top.

Also remove the screen cover by prying gently, it is glued to the inner plastic frame.
