I have one of these too. Mine has a sunplus spmp3050A http://www.sunplusmm.com/products/dsc/spmp.asp
This is where I got it from http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=115401198 But they may not be the same? Can you choose music from different folders? |

It says it already supports NES games. All you should need to do is load them in on a card or the main memory. I have one with an emulator, and have found that some games actually prefer to live on the card.

Re: What kind of mp4 player is this?
Looks exactly like the one i purchased here in iraq for 120. looks like i got ripped off. anyway, mine has 512mb with SD card slot and a game card with contra and some other 8 bit rip off games. it doesnt play nes games well, in fact out of my whole folder it only really played like three. i've been looking for a way to hack this device so i can get another emulator on it or even re-write the firmware. however after a week of digging on the inet your's is the first i found. it says it handles up to 2gig cards, but i havnt tried. my 512 card i have sometimes cant be read. i really want to theme it bc the current layout and bad english are hard for me to look at. well, if you find anything out let me know. drop me a pm and i'll give u my email.

I'm about as big an Apple/iPod fanboy as there is around here. Yet I don't see the need to knock folks for getting other players. I can make some introductions for you over at the Apple boards if you'd like to be among folks who see only Apple iPods as useful devices. And for the folks here who disagree with him, I must say, the new $149US 4GB video capable iPod Nano (and its 8 GB, definitely not hacked sibling) are looking pretty sweet. I think I see one in my future. And I'm pretty sure I won't have any issues with it like you see here ;-) |
I'd like to say one quick thing: my nes emulator/player has issues with some ROMs but not others. Most that came with it are bunk. Source some ROMs and try them to see if the emulator likes them better. I found one set that had several dumps of each ROM. of the 3-5 for each title, at least one was usually OK.
Also, games that originally used the Nintendo's ability to have extra processing power on the game cartridge will be a whole lot less enjoyable, as that extra chip is not in your player. |
