Need help with DIY MintyBoost charger

http://www.ladyada.net/make/mintyboost/index.html

This website shows you how to make a travel charger for yourself, that uses 2 AA batteries as a source.
Can an expert here tell us if that charger will work safely with a 2gen. Nano MP4 (Full metal platinum... whatever)? Is it's power output right for this player? How do I know what power does my player use?
Any help is aprechiated.

Thanks.

di48lo , generally all nano clones are able to be charged by such DIY chargers. They just simply need a 5V power supply.

I've seen this DIY charger sometime ago, and is by far one of the best designed and efficient DIY chargers using the boost converter.

Happy DIY-ing.

Always ensure to run such switching power supply inside a shielding enclosure as indicated above, since they produce large amounts of interference.

I would not want to pay 19.50 US dollars for a tin can, and have to go to the trouble of making it.

you should consider buying one of these? for 14 US dollars which is about 7.20 pounds sterling.

Take a look for yourself ? and I'm as happy as Larry with mine :P

My Power Backup came, in just over a week from Hong Kong.

Good price for around £7.20 from http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3060 and works very well indeed.

So if some of you guys want extra battery power on the move.

Then I would recommend buying one of these, just a good as the Power Monkey, but a lot less in cost. The power monkey sells in the UK for around £29.00, and around £26.00 on E Bay.

Edit

Forgot to mention that I paid by Pay Pal which made it easy

The Power Backup seems a good choice. But since I live in a country which is banned from PayPal, it's easyer for me to build a MintyBoost than to buy somethin online.
BTW, I will buy every part in a store.
