tanwill , wow how much did you pay for the 2 nano-clones?
2 clones + $60 for a Rockchip player.. seems tad bit expensive.

But anyway, a Rockchip player is much more reliable than the clones. Enjoy your new player, glad it worked out for you.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

I've just received my '4GB' Nano style player today.
I pushed the switch at the top to the ON position and plugged in the charger which plugs into the USB port. As soon as I turn the charger on, an egg timer appear on the player and it goes to a 'Connect' screen. Now, I presume that I leave it like this to charge.
However, after charging like this for a couple of hours I removed the charger but I can't get the player to turn on at all. It's fully functional when plugged into the wall with the charger but this doesn't make it very portable. Any ideas? Is it faulty? Many thanks

todd , ensure that the On/Off switch is at the On position, and for most players, you'll need to press and hold the Play button to turn the player on.

If you've done all these and the player still does not work by itself, it seems to me that either the charging circuitry or the battery is faulty. As you mentioned that it works when connected to the charger, but not when it is disconnected.

Thanks, looks like it's faulty AND I bought from one of the black listed ebayers lol. To top it off, I tried reformatting it to see if that made it work using the MP3 disk tool and then found out it was actually 1GB, not 4GB. As you can expect, I have questioned the seller!

I bought the exact same player and I'm having the exact same issue. I've contacted the seller about it. I'm waiting (and hoping) for a response.

I'm very disappointed.

Well, I got it to work. I just needed to get a new usb cable. The one the seller sent with the player was defective.

I hate the sound quality of the player, but love the versatility of it.
