Default [solved] Video Conversion for Glacier 8gb

Hey guys! I just got a glacier 8gb from ebay and all is well except for ONE THING. I can't get the player to display video conversions at FULL SCREEN! ughh! It's driving me nuts! I'm not sure if I'm totally correct; but I was told that the true resolution for the 2" screen on the glacier is 220*176, right?? Well; just my luckk---> the amv convert tool shows no support of converting to that resolution at all!

Can anyone help me to display full screen video for my 8gb glacier??? I'd really like if someone helped thanks

Hi slayer666metallica,

Welcome to the site.
Does your player have a sample video file on there? If so, what file extension does it have? Is it a .AMV or .AVI video? Does that play in full screen? If it does, then you can go into the properties of that file and see what screen size it has been recorded in (if .AMV, you will have to use the AMV Player instead).

You know you said 220*176, but it's good to be certain.

If your player plays .AMV, then have you tried the latest version of the AMV Convert Tool? Try the various version of the MP3 Player Utilities --> here.

Hey thanks for the reply and for the kind wecome! I just want to say that I did in fact find the latest version of the amv convert tool; and it solved my problems perfect so I thank you for that!

Now; I must say that I still have a few more questions about these things:

1. What is with this "Format Error" that I get when trying to play some of my .mp3 music files?? I know my files I have in it are compliant; so it appalls me as to why a certain number of songs say "format error" when I try to play them....

2. Is there a way to alphabetize my music folders?? For example; in my music folder; I have MY OWN self created folders which have the name of the artist. Then; inside those folders are the clips by that artist. All I'm wondering is this: Is there a way for me to alphabetize the file list in the file browser of my mp4 so that I have an ORGANIZED library as opposed to a random jumbled list?

3. Are these players capable of sorting by 'genre' as the ipods do? [just curious =P hahaha]

4. Lastly; how do I get back to the MAIN screen? or is it even possible?? for example; I'll be playing music, right. Well; if I want to view video; I go back to my root folder and there's no videos that show up. So; what I'm always forced to do is restart my player and then select VIDEO from the MAIN MENU at start up;; and I don't feel like restarting my player just to switch from music>video all the time:/ hahaha

Well; I *think* that about solves my problems for now if you're able to give a viable answer to those I'll be very happy

Either way; thanks for the reply and the help;

slayer666metallica , it is likely your player's memory is hacked, thus causing the format errors. i'll suggest you perform a format using MP3 Utilities Disk Tool, the guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html
The files do not exist on the memory chip, so causing the format error message.

2. The file structure of these players are stored in the order it was copied into the player. You can't sort the files in the order you wish via the player. However, there is a file-sync software in the downloads section that you can use to sort the files before copying over to your player.

3. As mentioned above, no it can't.

4. To exit back to the main menu from music or video or games, just press and hold the Menu button.
Then you can select the video menu, and play the videos you want.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
