First of all the board is ATJ2091N FB181DB196. My big doubt is how to drag the screwdriver to cause the shortcut...is one screw drive dragging only one side of the chipīs pins and then todo the samething in the other side correct? This is not clear to me. OR, Shall I cause short cut amongst pins from each sideof the CHIP simultaneously? Please could you clarify the short cut process regarding the shortcut process itself? ....ie shal the shortcut be made with a pin from each side of the chip or I can drag and cause the shortcut from one side of the chip and then the other side of it . The shorcut is caused by draggging pins from each simultaneously or pins fromthe same side cause shortcut either? Thanks indeed. |
zerio , now i'm confused. If your player is a nano clone, then the screen has got to be at least 1.2" (128x96), 1.5" (128x128), 1.8" (128x160), 2.0" (220x176).
If it's 128x32, then it could only be the monochromatic screens, which the firmwares on this site do not work. You'll need to verify your screen size first. A picture of the actual player would be good. Regarding the shorting of the pins, it is a trial and error method. In some cases, you'll probably need to disconnect the battery. This can be done by cutting the wire or de-soldering the wire. The USB cable would also need to be connected to your computer. To short the pins, you'll need either a fine tweezer or simply a bent open paper-clip. Short the left and right side of the memory chip, 1 pair at a time. What actually happens when you on the player or connect the player via USB, is that the player attempts to boot up. But with a wrong firmware installed, it is unable to boot up successfully. So internally, it is constantly "restarting" upto the point where it tries to load the firmware but finds it to be incompatible. With the player unable to boot up properly, the computer is unable to detect it, which results in the drive not appearing and not being able to flash in any firmware. So the shorting of the memory chip pins typically causes a read error on it. This would invoke a "restoring" state (i can't really remember, but it's sort of "factory reset"), that allows an installation of the ADFU server. |
Hello Lattersurf
Sorrry it was a mistake ,the screen is 1.8" (128x160) according to the ad,pleasecheck my mp3modelhere at: http://www.dhgate.com/productdisplay...132f51bbc3178a However believe it or not I had paid for the model shown here http://www.dhgate.com/productdisplay...13244d52bf314b all in al,besides getting an item different than I had paid for , the mp3 is hacked..the website where is listed is no good either..should make the sellerpay full refund but didnt. BE CAREFUL WITH SUCH SELLER!!!! So, I must get a little pair of scissors and short each pair composed by each pin from each side , I go and touch the firstleftpin with the firstright pin and so on ..CORRECT? ( sorry for the language barrier...) I must tell you I cannot desolder the battery..this is impossible for rme..I dont have the apparatus to resolder the battery neither the hand skilll. Thanks again Thanks somuch for your help and patience. |
zerio , regarding the battery, perhaps leave it connected first and try the dead player recovery guide. See if with the battery connected, you are able to reboot the player.

Re: IPOD Nano copy 8GB, firmware Chip Hynix HY27UF081G2A
See my post in DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE, with picture show where to short on the pins.
Only short the data lines, anything else can cause damage. |
