my mp3/mp4 player died yesterday for no apparent reason
 

well yesterday i turned it off and when i came to turn it on nothing happens...even when plugged into the usb it doesnt do anything, i cant access it or anything, its just completely dead.

ive tried the recovery guide but i couldnt short the chip :(:(:(

its a ipod nano lookalike supposedly 4GB

How do you turn it on and off? Using the switch or by pressing and holding down on the [Play/Pause] button?

Something to try:

1. Try plugging your player into another computer to see if anything happens.

2. Also try another USB cable instead incase it's a problem with the USB cable.

hey :), i turn it on/off via a small sliding switch at the top. and i already tried that yesterday, nothing would happen at all.
