Default mp4 display garbled green screen

i used this Walker mp4 BL336G for half a year already.
the chip it uses was RockChip 2606A

I am using the converter in cd and playing video .avi for half a year.
everything works fine.
but now everytime i play video on it, it display garbled boxes green screen, the sound work fine, and i need to reopen it many times before it managed to play corectly. tat was few days ago, now it doesnt play corectly no matter how many times i try. Those video i play was the same all these half a year. it seem to have colour issue but only during playing video.

other musics, radio works fine.

how to solved it? i already try scan disk fix error and also formatting.

cant seem to find 2606A firmware though although i dun know if it was that or LCD issue. but outside on the menu, pictures work perfectly fine.

woopypooky , does the videos play correctly on the computer?

I can only think that a likely cause would be the screen is starting to fail.

woopypooky , if it is still under warranty, i'll suggest that you get an exchange with your seller.

It is difficult to find parts for these players. Besides, it might not be the screen problem, might possibly be some other capacitors or resistors or components failing.

warranty is 1 year, but i lost the receipt already, and its from china, i doubt how long it will takes.
so i dun need to flash a new firmware? i wan to try flashing it will any rockchip firmware and see if it works or not, after all its not working anymore, but then will i lose all the function? right now it still can serve as picture viewer and usb 2 GB pendrive.

woopypooky , firmware flashing is never recommended. However, if you do wish to take the risk, then you could go ahead.
But you'll need know that a wrong firmware flash would immediately brick your player and every single function cannot be used until the right firmware is flashed back in.
