Who make the FW????
 

Hi,
i want to know who do make the FW???? we see that wilson co. ltd. but where we can find them??? why this FW are a piece of s***??? where can we send them a mail to tell them that have to make a update to fw??
i find rockbox fw, somebody could make a similar projet to our divice (s1mp3). thanks if somebody answer my questions

gemelo71 , the problem lies in that manufacturers copy each other. A new player manufacturer would likely buy a few players from the market and just copy the firmware/hardware.

Rockbox or similar kinds of firmware would only work for all if the hardware was constant throughout. These players that we have (clones), have varying hardware components, so such firmwares are not possible to be installed into these players as the firmware would simply crash due to different hardware.

Same with the Chinese phones, they all have the same firmware and menu structure. Some Chinese phones run on Windows Mobile, Lunix or SmartNX.
