MP4 Player wont sleep, wasting battery!!! new firmware? HELP
My mp4 player wont go to sleep when playing music or anything else, and when I set the sleep time, it doesn't sleep, and when I turn it off (both holding the button and using the switch) and turn it on again, it just goes back to zero.
This wastes a lot of battery time, especially since the player is in my pocket when I am listening to music. This is on top of the fact that some of the games don't work properly (down key does not operate during game play). I think its the firmware, but I don't know how to replace the firmware, and I like the one it has, because of all the cool games. Firmware: Version: 9.0.50 HELP!!! |
George Samuel , have you tried to use both the Menu and Play button to set the time value? Example, once you press left/right to the time value, use either Menu or Play button to set it.
If you had done this using both buttons and the player still acts the same way, likely the firmware might be buggy. Do not replace any firmware, you'll stand a higher chance 99% of bricking it rather than fixing it. |
Re: MP4 Player wont sleep, wasting battery!!! new firmware?
Thanks for your reply Lattesurf, I really do appreciate it. thanks.
If the firmware is buggy, and I cant replace it, what do you think I should do? I really want this to work, and don't know how to deal with firmware problems. :( |
George Samuel , when it comes to firmware, it is quite a headache. Your current version is not supported by the extraction tool, so fixing it would be a problem. Flashing it with another firmware would 99% likely to brick it.
It is either you contact your seller for an exchange, or you'll need to make do with it. There really isin't any solution for firmware related problems at the moment. |
