it is possible to swap the current memory chip in your player for a larger capacity (eg 2GB or 4GB). You'll just need to ensure that the new chip is from the same family series of the current chip, so that the pins are in the same assignment. However, do note that there are reports from other members of legit 4GB players complaining that the player reacts extremely slow. This could be due to the processor's inability to process such a large chip quickly.

i think i just got scammed. videos on my player work fine, but the player is constantly corrupted and files do not transfer properly.

what did you ask hailitele? i want to fight him for a refund as well. this player does not work the way i thought it was supposed to. i transfer files to it, and then they get corrupted. i re-formatted the thing about 5 times, and it's all the same.

I threatened him with logic and fact. The funny thing is, all THREE times he replied with the exact same reply, no matter what I had said (the same thing about it clearly being stated, yada yada, yada, which it never said that anywhere, and refused to cite it. Fucking foreigner... So I took it up with PayPal through eBay, and it was escalated, and the individual (assuming that it wasn't this tard from eBay who has been managing the majority of the correspondence) decided to grant a "full refund." So I will be sending it back today.

This is beyond ridiculous, and even after sending it back, I wonder if I will ever see the amount I had paid. Screw this hassle, I'm going to buy another Rio. :P
