Help with MP4 player Make?
 

Hi all found your forum via google very nice hope you can help :D

My dad brought home a mp4 player the other day from work he'd found it anyway tried to get it to work but i've just got a hourglass icon on the screen :( do i need to flash it or do a whole dead recovery also was wondering if any 1 knew the model & firewire i'd need

the chip says Samsung 725

The other chip says AK1025

The 3rd small chips says SPT (Can't read the reast so small)

stone , it depends on what state your player is currently in. You'll need to install MP3 Utilities, and see if the Upgrade Tool is able to detect your player.

If it does, then you'll need to try all the v9.xx firmwares for your screen size here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-9...ware-dc37.html

If it does not, then you'll need to perform the Dead Player Recovery procedure to get the player to reboot and be detected by your computer.

ok ive installed mp3 utilities when i click on mp3 player upgrade tool it says (It is recovery state,and select the fireware file for recovering please).

In device manager it detects a USB 2.0 (HS) ADFU DEVICE

So do i go with the fireware or dead recovery?

stone , currently it is in recovery state, and you can proceed to try firmwares.

Ok having tried a few firewares i got lucky with 1 act2097_s72_1 - 9.0.43 fireware seemed to work but after it complted my screens gone black & i no longer get anything its still connecting to my pc tried all the other firewares with no luck

stone , the problem lies in that the current and only firmware extraction tool only supports upto v9.0.43 at the moment. So other users with v9.0.48, v9.0.50, v9.1.50, etc are unable to dump their firmware to upload to the forum.

stone , the firmware extraction tool S1fwx was made by wiRe from s1mp3.de, he does not collect money, and does it out of his own time. So until the newer version is out, there is nothing much you can do.
