hacked or not K9HBG08U1M

Hi guys. I bought from www.uxcell.com a 4gb mp4 player and i expect read errors, just like this topic tell. So i thinked.. hacked memory on uxcell? could it be? I did all the format steps to remove the hack and foud a 107mb (allready formatted) at the end !! unbelievable !! 4gb hacked to 128mb? but when i opened the player i found a sansung K9HBG08U1M memory benched on the chip !! BD means 32mbit = 4 mbyte, right ? what can i do? what information is correct? the chip part number or the undeniable and anoiing 128mb capacity? Did i something wrong an can i recover this?

fcerrato , there are cases in the past when the serial number does not tally with the formatted capacity.
This can be due to either Samsung printing the wrong number and selling them off as "defects" or "as is" goods.
Another reason could be that the manufacturer intentionally modified the serial number.
Also, it might be a fake Samsung chip not manufactured by Samsung themselves.

i'll suggest that you contact uxcell for an exchange.
