alexdelg1803 , if you had formatted it as with the guide using MP3 Utilities Disk Tools, then likely your player only has a 1GB chip installed. It was hacked to show 2GB. There is no way to recover the "lost 1GB", as the chip is only a 1GB.
i'll suggest that you open up the player to verify the memory chip's serial number to be sure.
