Play Button turns unit off - all of the time.

Hi all. I hope someone has the answer to this one. I purchased a 4GB Nano clone about 5 months ago. The play button is also used to turn the unit off. Originally, per the instructions, this button DID work for playing a selection. Now, every time I depress it, no matter how long or short the duration, the unit turns off. - Any ideas????

j9...usually when u press and hold the play button for bout 2 sec...it will turn off...but i have no ideas that ur player turn off when u press the play button..maybe it is stucked..
