Help! Cannot get vids to play

I have brought an MP4 player from ebuyer m-205 1GB. I cannot for the life of me get the videos to play. I have converted files to mp4 format it show up on the player but does not play. Can anyone help?

mrtfool , do you still have the sample video that came with the player? What file format is it in?
Also, check for the installed player's firmware version.
What is the screen size of your player?
