Default Sony LY-88 FM Radio Upgrade

I bought this mp4 mp5 player last week. There is specifications about this device on the box, and there is writing FM Tuner (Optional). When i opened my mp4 there were no sign of FM Tuner in its menu. I have tried to s1fwx to dump my firmware, it didnt detect my device. I think if i can upgrade my firmware with a firmware which includes FM Tuner or modify my own firmware, FM Tuner will appear in the menu.
Also when i plug in my mp4 PC detects two drive g: and h: , and I cant access g: drive, because i think its locked or something else. So this could be the reason of why s1fwx didnt detect my device.
Here is one of my mp4's picture. How can i do this stuff. Appreciate if you can help.

endofrainbow , the FM function could only be used if there is an FM chip installed on the board itself. Some players does not come with the chip and do not have the FM function.

Does your player have a slot for SD card? If so, the additional drive that appeared would be for the SD card.

In this case, if your player has an SD card slot, then S1fwx would not work as it is not an Actions chipset.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

Thank you very much for your reply, lattesurf. Your approach to drive matter was fairly useful for me to understand the matter.
On the other hand i dont know how can i learn my device has FM chip installed on the board itself. Is there any way to learn this including my chipset info without opening the cover of device. If there is someway i would find a way to upgrade or dump my device's firmware.

endofrainbow , as far as i know, the only way to know if your player has an FM chip installed is to open it and physically check for it.

Firmware upgrades are not recommended as you would stand a better chance of bricking it than success. Besides, you usually would not get any additional features from upgrading.
