Default halitele 2gb 2" mp4

ok i read some of this forum's blogs and found out halitele's mp4 arent very good. today is the first day i got the mp4, and im just wondering what i need to do to prevent any problems later on?
i also got another problem. i downloaded amv converter tool 3.68 and did the chip=1 thing, but after the first movie i convertered, my mp4 can't run the amv files anymore. i get the "format error" sign everytime i try to run a movie. i tried converting new movies but they also don't work. can someone please help me?

blackcrusader , well seems like your player is a hacked 1GB chip. i'll suggest that you continue the procedure to remove the hack itself.

For videos, try encoding using MP3 Utilties v4.15 here http://www.mympxplayer.org/amv-conve...415-df635.html

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

Blackcrusader
Can I suggest that as a precaution you make a "clone" copy of your flash using s1clone which you can download from www.s1mp3.de
Then if your firmware gets corrupted at any time you should be able to restore your player, it is almost impossible to match the correct firmware to these sorts of player. Maybe best to do this BEFORE and AFTER removing memory hack. These cloned copies may also be of use to others so it would be helpful if you could upload them, perhaps with a photo of your player and the chip numbers inside. Also check the system settings and note down the firmware version that is installed.
This is what I "SHOULD" have done with a player I have, which worked great for a week then gave the dreaded perpetual hour glass....
Good luck

Should not be a problem, but I suggest you clone it now before you start using it properly. The less files you have on the flash disk the better, as this will reduce the size of the clone file you get. As I said, keep this safe and ideally upload it with as much info on your player as you can (it will then help others). Did you check your firmware version on your player settings menu?

i just checked it and its an Action 9.1.52.
LG mp3 player, QY-066FVO, TFT70023, 2007/10/16, Action 9.1.52
chip: HYNIX, KOR, HY27UT088G2M, TPC8, 741AA
im formatted and started cloning the player using the s1clone wizard.

i checked the firmware list and my firmware isn't even on the list, is this bad?

what does updating my firmware do and how will it benefit me?
