Playing videos using visa skins on the onda vx858
 

Im curious about video play and the using this 00.00.00.17 vista skins firmware on the Onda vx858 mp3 player. I tried to put a video in avi format or conveting to amv and such , everytime I get "WARNING FORMAT ERROR" . Is avi the correct format ? Does the vista firmware change the way videos are played?

Yes the format must be .avi.

It must also be set to the correct resolution in aviconverter to match the player, which I think is 320x240 for the Onda 858..

yep... with MP2 audio

so it is supposed to be in avi format , what program do i use to set to the correct resolution with , I dont think the one it came with has that option.

The one that comes in the bundle is surely AVIConverter which is the one that fit very well with Onda specifications.

video codec: xvid
video resolution : 320x240
video bitrate: up to 500
video fps: up to 22 fps
audio codec: mp2
audio bitrate: 128 for music 192

Some users wants to use other converters... while its follow this specifications... no problem.
