Cheers Alex:-) Got them but no joy with them being the right ones. Maybe if we can crack the s1mp3.net site that will yield results but there is so much there that unless we know what we are downloading it will be very hit or miss.

Confirmed. I can access site via FTP using this. Unfortunately although it seems I can navigate through directory structure I cannot understand any of the dir/filenames & Alex is right there is far too much to download. I have tried downloading a couple of random ones but they either stopped fairly fast or failed to come down.
Big shame if we cannot access as looks to be so much there.

scatwell, it's the same here - link quality varies a lot, I imagine some poor guys sitting there validating every single ip-packet to conform chinese censorship regulations

We might however try to contact 小四 (the Admin of that board that translates to "Primary Four") and offer our own "huge" collection of firmwares in exchange to their collection

ok, my neighbor opened an account there and even got an answer, please could any of the admins here contact me by PM? - I have the email address of the admin of the chinese site and they seem to be inbterested to share their knowledge.

with this logins i search in the database, but the frimware i need isnt avarible...

i got a AK1022 with Samsung 716
the firmware version was 9.1.52
It is a "faked" 4gb mp4 player with only 2gb
Mp4 Digital Player 4gb

i spend mutch time with this site and found the right firmware, but still cant get access to it. also i dont found a way to register there.
