Sumvision KPAC MP4 USB Cable

I bought the Sumvision KPAC MP4 4gb about 2 days ago. for the first day, i charged it for a whole 8 hours because that was what the instructions told me to do. The next day, i plugged the USB cable in the computer to transfer files into the mp4 but it started charging. I thought that it might need to be fully charged to transfer so i let it charge until the battery was full. i unplugged the cable and re-plugged it again and it started charging again. Could someone help me with this problem please. How could i transfer files when i want to and charge when i want to.
Thanks

Does you player is being recognized by the PC?
I bet it is not... Is charging because is not seeing by your PC.
Do you have more devices plugged through USB?
Are you using a USB hub?
Try plugging only the player in USB ports to you PC no other device and direct to the first port of USB...
use a different USB cable than the one you are using

I dont think its being recognized because when i plug it in, it says the USB device is malfunctioned. I dont have any other usb device plugged in and it im not using a usb hub.
I just tried plugging it in again and it is charging again.
I cant us another usb cable because the mp4 only came with one usb cable

Ok I get the picture...

Your PC is recognizing it and giving you an error message which is pretty clear "USB device is malfunctioning".

See this Faulty USB cable

Just as silly question... do you have POWER ON the player isn't so?... I mean you see menu when you plug it to USB port... really?

I suppose you have try in both status... with POWER ON and with POWER OFF

If answer is yes:

There is not much you can do with that... go back to the provider :(
