Default Poor sound quality

Hi,
I bought a me2 player on ebay. It turned out to be a me2 clone, and instead of 4GB, it was only 2GB. After formatting the player to get the correct memory capacity, I noticed that the sound quality is poor: there's a lot of noise in background, just like it used to be with k7 players. I have tried good earpiece, so it must be the player. Anybody has this problem to? Is there a solution (beside buying a new player)?

Thanks
