Default Problem with the lyrics display of chinese me2 mp4 player

I have a problem with the lyrics display of the chinese mp4 player similar to the one in the picture.
The issue is that the lines of lyrics that do not fit the screen are not wrapped to fit the display.
Is there a way how I can set the player to wrap the text or change default font to smaller size ?
I have also tried changing font fomat of LRC file but it seems that font settings are not transferred.
I haven't figured out yet how to include line break in LRC.

Has anyone had this problem ?

ThanksClick the image to open in full size.

LRC is not great. You need to put in lots of time markers and keep the number of words in between quite low. Also, LRC seems not to work with long tracks with a lot of lyrics - it starts ok but after about 5 minutes will not display any more.
I have found the best way of using LRC is to just put in the 1st 2 word of each line - if I know the song I can remember the rest of a line if I know how it starts.

hi scatwell, thanks for your feedback, unfortunately this player seems to only support LRC. That was why I was wondering if there is a way maybe one can change the default fonts of the player itself.

griffin , the default fonts are stored in a font map if you use S1res to open the firmware file.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

thanks lattesurf !

I'll give it a try with s1res. I assume that I will need to extract the firmware by means of s1clone which I already did, but what file extention do i need to give the firmware file on my pc for s1res to be able to open ?

Another strange thing I'm nothing is that after removing the 4GB memory hack from this player, it is working OK with 2GB. But when I'm extracting with S1clone I'm getting this;

v9-device detected!
giveio version: 3.0
open flash at cs-line 1...
flash chip: A514D3AD "HYNIX/SAMSUNG 1024MB (LBF)" (protected=0)
create file: C:\backup
start reading flash

How come ?

griffin , i'm not very sure about S1clone as i don't have a v9.xx player to try it out. But it might be that your player consist of two 1GB chips. So S1clone probably just picked up 1 of the chip. I won't really worry too much about it.

The firmware files are usually .fw or .bin extension. However wiRe has indicated that a newer version would be out soon, so if you are having problems reading the extracted firmware, perhaps wait for the new version to be out.

ok thanks for your reply.
Then I guess I'll better leave it as it is and not risk corrupting the firmware then I would be far off worse.

Thanks again for your useful suggestions.
