problems putting music on the MP4 player
I recently bought a 2GB "Digital Player MP4" off of Ebay - It looks just like this one but its white http://www.mympxplayer.org/album_sho...php?pic_id=508 .
---------- I am having problems putting music on the MP4 player, the software it came with was a small CD and when I put it in my computer there is no software to install, nothing comes up and nothing happens. I tried to read the instruction manual but they are hard to understand. All I want to do is put my music on the player but I cant figure out a way how to do so. ---------- If someone has this MP4 player or any experience with it it would be greatly appreciated if you could give me a walkthrough of how to get my music onto it. |
Re: MP4 Player IPOD Nano look-alike..help
As of right now I still have not got it working, this is starting to get frusterating and any help would be appreciated.
Thank you |
AKwalka , treat the player as a removable usb thumbdrive. If you want to add music files into it, just open the player's drive and click and drop the files in.
The player would be able to pick up the music files when you start up, and select the music function. You don't need any software for doing so, and the instructions are useless. |
Re: problems putting music on the MP4 player
If you are connecting to PC via USB connection and display of player simply shows player and PC with zzzzzzz in between, then you may have the same problem i had.
I spent a week fiddling with my player i was getting very intermittent connectivity to various PCs. Then finally it stopped connecting to any PC and not even charging at all from it's charger. It was so frustrating but last weekend I tested with a different USB cable and this resolved all my issues. Today it connects instantly. When connected to PC, player display should show player and PC with an arrow between them and no zzzzzzz. In win xp you should then find a new removable drive in the explorer window. If you notice that the usb cable slides in without any effort and does not secure properly into the mp4 player port but there is a lot of sideways movement, try replacing it, the new cable I got fits securely in place and needs some pressure to plug into the player port. |

I checked in the new drive and did not see a drop in files option?/ I know I am not bright lol When I plug mine in it shows the connecting...then I go on pc hit the drive and its there but tells me to reformat everytime. ok. then I try dropping in music it won't do it. I had once then it erased it and never was loaded on the player and if it was I didnt even know where to begin to find it' |
notgoodatanything , you might want to format your player using MP3 Utilities Disk Tools, the guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html
In some cases, the memory might be hacked to show larger than it actually is (eg 1GB hacked to 4 or 8GB). Usually after a format when the memory is back to normal, file storage would be back to normal. |
Re: problems putting music on the MP4 player
Thanks, it works just as you explained.
I have ~50 songs on there right now. Now i'm having another problem, when I try to put new files on it it says file directory cannot be created. Should I format mine as well? |
AKwalka , perhaps try formatting using MP3 Utilities Disk Tools, and see if the problem still persists.
