Default new mp4 player

hello,
i just recently bought a player the same as this 1
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/8GB-2-TFT-MP4-...QQcmdZViewItem ,
however when i transfer mp4s i cant find them anywhere on the player and when i try to transfer it again ,it says the file already exists,do i have to do anything so that the player will play mp4s?
ive tranferred mp3s and they play no problem but im having trouble with mp4s,
i got a CDrom with the player but my pc wont recognize it for some reason and a friend from another forum recommended here, thanks.

algdak , for some reasons i don't know of, i don't know why these players are called "MP4" when they don't play .mp4 format at all.

You will need to convert the video files to the required video format before your player would be able to read them.

Does your player come with a sample video? What file format is it in? And what screen size is your player?

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

Get your self the mp3 player utilities form here:
MP3 utilities download
It has the amv converter software which converts videos in other formats to amv. After converting it to amv, copy the amv file to your mp3 player and after that disconnect the mp3 player and choose "movies" in your player's menu and just press play... 8)
