TyphoonTycoon , try using another USB cable to charge it, see if the problem still continues, as some cables might be faulty.
You can charge it either via a computer's USB port or using the AC adaptor. However, try to avoid using a non-powered USB hub, as sometimes there might be insufficient current to charge the player.
Also, do ensure that the main switch at the top is at the On position for charging.
