Default format gone wrong-

hi !
have an 1gb mp4 player that i tried to format using the mp3 player disc manager, that was taking a long time. so, in frustation, i discontinued it.
now, as a result, my 1 gb player shows a memory of only 17- 18 mb, and i can load and play only 3-4 mp3 at one time ...

what to do?
any help/ tip will be appreciated

thanks

What brand player is it? Does it have a reset button or reset hole?

Ok in the MP3 Player utilities disk tool, did you move the slider (in the partition & encrypt tab) to the very end of the right side?

If I was you, follow the how to remove memory hack guide to learn how to properly format your player.

having only 17 mb after a format is a classic symptom of a hacked player. did you get it on ebay?

i would suspect it is hacked.

As nzer_4_lyf mentioned, it is very likely the slider wasn't slided all the way to the left. This results in the memory capacity being blocked off for the encrypted disk.

17MB or 18MB is the typical capacity if the slider had been on the extreme right. Do reformat again and ensure that the slider is all the way to the left and click on Start.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
