Default MP4 player deleted all of my files and i had to reformat???

I just got an I Slim (fake Ipod) from MP4nation.com a few days ago. and it checked out fine with MP3 Player Utilities and all. It wasn't hacked and everything looked and played great. the first two days was great. i woke up this morning and pulled it out of my bag and it said "empty disk" i checked and every file and every folder had been deleted! it wouldn't let me doing anything until i reformatted the disk. i did and it's working fine again now, but what the heck would have caused it to delete everything and have to be formatted. i don't think the battery was low cause it turned on but a dead battery shouldn't do that?

Also is there a way to get a better idea of how much battery is left. you have to get into an area and look at that little battery icon but that's not very precise. I'd like to know how much % of the battery is left. thanks!?

ryanjantz , it might be some problem with the firmware coding or hardware problem. In either case, i'll suggest that you contact mp4nation or razzer001 in this forum for perhaps an exchange or something.
Like you said, a low battery shouldn't cause such problems.

As for the battery indicator, the only way is to view it by its icon. You can't view it by the percentage.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

A dead battery can cause file deletion, it's happened to me a few times too on my old player.

When the battery is too weak to boot the player it keeps restarting, and this breaks the formatting of the flash memory. The only way to fix this is to turn the player off by the switch when the battery runs down.

thanks for the replies. my battery wasn't dead so i don't think that was an issue. I contacted razzer001 from mp4nation and he said it's either that i wasn't doing the "safely remove hardware" option in windows or i had corrupted files on the player. i know my files weren't corrupted and i actually hadn't being safely removing it.

so i think the most likely culprit was not safely removing the player through windows. i'll be doing that from now on instead of just unplugging it.
