1GB turns to 512MB after firmware flash
Hi , firsto off I want to thank you for the help. I have a chipod 1.5 inch lcd firmware 3.5.37, i extracted the firmware with s1fwx v26, repaired it with the included bat files and reflashed it to my player, after that it started to show 497MB of space. Do i have a hacked player? i´ve read about 2,4 and 8 GB beeing of only 1, but no 1GB beaing actually 512, have i done somthibg wrong. Tnhaks for your time.

I don't think it's hacked. Follow this guide, it should bring your player back to its full capacity: http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

No, I'd say that it's hacked. There is no other reason to show less memory than it really is. And yes, there are hacked 1GB players to show 512mb.

Usually a hack would be revealed and original capacity restored after a low-level format or firmware re-flash.
i've even seen someone with a hacked 512MB that is in fact only 64MB! |
