Folder with install files on my player. Should I delete it?
I have an MP4 player that looks like the iPod Nano 2G.
It's pretty great but it's 128MB. When I connected it to my computer and went in the drive there was this folder with install crap. Should I delete it and move it to my computer(if i need it again) to save more space? It wastes a hell lot of space with a bunch of stuff I don't need to install. |
UnsafeData,
What are the files? Usually the come with demo video, audio, picture and text files. Usually not install files though. Would be interested to know what they've put on it though. But if they are install files, I would say it's ok to move. Some players requires specific folders to put files into (like music and videos) for the player to detect them but I haven't heard of a player that requires an install executable file to be on the player for it to function though. |
Sometimes, they put viruses on them. O.o But that happens very rarely.

Yeah, just copy them to your pc, in a .zip file or something and delete them of the player, no harm done. If you ever need them again you have a copy. The device came without a cd containing the same install files?
