Skinning my MP4 using firmware 9.1.52 i found on net

Lets get things straight here.
I have purchased a LG MP3 player B8201 CM70048 ACT_V9.1.52 MP4
http://i5.ebayimg.com/03/i/000/c9/14/4485_1.JPG
And I would love to get rid of the stupid chinese like skin.
I think I could even manage to make my own theme. Only problem is to extract the original firmware.
As there doesn't seem to be a method to extract a 9.1.52 fw i went searching and found this chinese site.
After help of our great friend Google (translator) i guess i found the exact same firmware. At least it shows the exact same images as on my MP4.
So I could eventually start testing my modding skills. Only problem is, viewing inside s1res.exe is pretty difficult. Is there another way of seeing my skin (working) before actually7 writing it to my player?
And how great would chance be that i kill my player allthough images look exact same?

Or is there anyone out there who wants to take the job of producing a nice ipod skin like this adapted to this player.

Firmware is available here

99% chance to kill player

these images are standard in these firmwares and can be used in any, so DO NOT RELY on image to find correct firmware.

there is pretty much no chance you will find the firmware unless you contact supplier and ask - picking a firmware based on like images is a SURE way to brick your player

do this at your peril !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course it wasn't only the images. The site shows pictures of the same (99%) player (nano II clone) and the fw version seems to fit. Even the hardware version number is correct (8201 in my case)

And am I correct that there is currently no way to extract my own firmware ?

And what about my other question, any way of seeing my modded fw in action before actually writing it to player (just want to play with the skinning part).
If sooner or later an original extraction can be made i guess the images are the same as long as pixel size correct, so images could already be prepared... (even though i am not going to try i'm pretty sure it's the fw related to my player)
