"Format error" on 8GB player
I wonder if anyone can help me with this problem:
I have one of those 8Gb chipods and when I put some mp3 files on it it only play a few of them...with the rest appears "format error"....even if all the files are in mp3 format.. what can I do?...I formated it and still being of 8Gb.... |
Re: PLEASE help.........
Hi, you need to follow the instructions posted here: How To: Removing Memory Hack
Format errors occur when a player is hacked. The memory reads 8gb and shows that much loaded onto the player. In reality, it only loads the real amount of memory and everything else is ghost files that don't exist. |
Re: "Format error" on 8GB player
THANKS!!..I'll try and let you know if its works
Do you think that doing this the problem may end? |
Re: "Format error" on 8GB player
:( now my MP player its a 102MB player....it sucks!!!
thanks anyway mate |
Yes, that should solve the problem. Crap!! Only 102MB? That really sucks. If you bought it off of eBay, contact the seller immediately. If you paid through Paypal, open a dispute stating the item is not as described.
Whatever you do, if the seller wants you to send the player back at YOUR COST, don't do it. You will never see another player or your money again. Do NOT let the seller tell you it was your fault for formatting. They often say this to deflect the blame onto unsuspecting buyers. Good Luck! :) |
Re: "Format error" on 8GB player
There`s nothing I can do to recover some memory?
|
No because it never existed. The player was simply hacked to show that it was there.
