Does firmware determine your memory

I bought a 4 GB Ipod clone in China. It died on me when I was trying to load it up with music. Reflashed it with some firmware I got from this site. It is different interface but seems to work, but my memory only says 128 MB. Do I have the wrong firmware? or did i get dupped? the chip says hy27ua081g1m which is supposed to be 1 GB?

Here is the sheet on my chip, is it Gigabit or Gigabyte?

Unfortunately, it is only 128mb.

From that article:

Memory Cell Array
- 1056Mbit = 528 Bytes x 32 Pages x 8,192 Blocks

Notice it says Mbit not mb or MB.
