Cant navigate my folder (albums) in 4 gig player
 

I purchased an MP4 4 Gig player from Ebay which is listed as OEM unbranded Samsung electronics. It works fine except when you start to store a few albums/artists in folders. When I hit the menu button and get to the local folder (which lists all the albums) I cannot navigate to any other albums and then the screen goes off briefly and resorts to the last song that was playing.

I bought 2 players of the same from different sellers and both give the same problem. Do I need some special software that allows me to be able to navigate all the folder albums ?

looks like you are yet another victim of mp4 player memory hack

also, get your ebay sellers names and search this site with them, you may find them on the blacklist of bad sellers.

this is a massive problem and many, including myself, have been caught out by this, basically it may mean that what you actually have, regardless of what the players or your seller says, is actually only 1GB memory
in short you may have been conned and looking at the link you provided you most definitely have as you will not get a 4GB player for that price anywhere

sorry for the possible bad news but you could always start a dispute and get your money back

I have managed to solve this by re-formating to Fat 32 on my PC. I can now play all my muisc albums. I still have 4 GB.

are you sure you still have 4gb - using windows to reformat does not solve the fake 4gb problem, use the link and method described in the link above and see what happens

Other problems I have found is that

1) The player freezes

2) When I play a song from an album it actually plays a song from another album.

3) When I drag and drop albums accross from my PC, I find it has copied tham a few times.

Strange.

The seller has asked me to send the player back for a replacement.
