Will the Disk Utilities Software work on memory cards/sticks
 

I received a memory stick and sd memory card for christmas. Will the disk utilities software work on memory cards and memory sticks like it does for players?

I believe it will only work for Actions chip based players.

I've been reading that there are hacked memory cards and sd cards and I wanted to check the ones I got for christmas.

I heard that the same software that reformats players reformats memory cards. I wanted to ask before trying it out.

Do you know how to check them or to remove the hack file from cards?

Try the Format Utility for USB Devices from --> here.

It's a format utility for USB devices.

Otherwise try formatting from Windows Explorer as well to see if that helps.

Last resort, if memory is hacked, it will ERROR (as the memory space doesn't actually exist, it won't copy the full file across, just a 'ghost' of it) when trying to use the file or accessing the file from your computer. So fill your player to the max, then make sure you can access/open all the files on it.

Seems like my old hosting at GoDaddy has deleted my files :(. Luckily I have a copy of it and have up reuploaded it.

Did the tool work and helped with the formatting of your memory stick/card?
