Karbon MP-821 1GB MP3 player won't connect to PC.....help
I bought a Karbon MP-821 1GB MP3 player for my daughter for Xmas and I can't get the computer to connect with it. The manual says it's compatible with Windows 98, which is what our system is (actually windows 98 2nd edition). I installed the driver from the disk that came with the player. I've tried getting the computer to recognize new plug and play hardware. I went to the manufacturers website but it doesn't exist. I phoned the help line and they told me to download a Microsoft Windows USB Driver and it should work (There was no USB driver on the Microsoft website that I could see).
Any ideas?????? I'm really frustrated!!!! |

I took this thing to work and it connected right away to my computer without drivers having to be installed. We are running XP at work. So what's the deal? The manufacturer says it works with 98 but it doesn't.

bloodplague , there are few win98 drivers that you can try here:
http://www.mympxplayer.org/windows-9...15kb-df11.html http://www.mympxplayer.org/windows-9...s-2-df228.html http://www.mympxplayer.org/windows-9...s-3-df325.html The problem with win98 and usb is that it is not as PnP-robust as XP where there is a large internal database of drivers. |
